Date:
January 10, 2013
Doctor’s Appointment: January 16, 2013.
3pm
Baby’s size: Baby is the size of a Green Olive.
How far along: About 9 weeks
Total weight gain: Really fluctuating this week from 0-2
pounds. Current weight: 110-112.
Sleep: Very sleepy all the time. So
grateful for naps!!! I could literally sleep all day if I let myself…
Maternity Clothes: Nope
Food cravings: I don’t have any cravings… I have been living on smoothies though!
Especially banana, peanut butter, milk, ice cubes and chocolate slim fast mix.
YUM!
Food aversions: I still have food aversions to
almost everything. Nothing really ever
sounds super appetizing (except macaroni and cheese). I don’t like being
finicky because I’ve never been this way.
I’ve always loved all food, so the aversions do get on my nerves…
Symptoms I have: Sore breasts and lower back pain, Food aversions, Sleepiness… yawn…
Stretchmarks: I hope to avoid the whole stretch mark thing by using cocoa butter
cream all over everyday. I need to get
into the habit of using it twice daily.
Although I am not visibly pregnant yet, from what I read, sometime
during the second trimester, my tummy will just pop out.
Movement: The baby is making sharp movements inside my body all the time (based
on my What to Expect book) however, I can’t feel a thing and probably won’t for
another 7 weeks, at least.
Belly Button: Innie. Kiley and I started a daily yoga
routine. I have also been keeping up
with daily crunches as well as squats and pushups.
Gender: I still don’t
really want to find out the gender of our baby but Kiley does, so we’ll see… I was surprised when he said he is kind of
hoping for a girl. Secretly, I already
think it is a boy. Why do I think so? I
haven’t had much morning sickness (which is attributed to being pregnant with
girls because of the extra estrogen and progesterone) and also, the Chinese
gender prediction chart says it’s a boy… haha
Best moment of the week: My best moments are when I get to spend time with Kiley. I’m really looking forward to next week
because my mom is coming to town to go to my doctor’s appointment with me!! I
couldn’t be happier!!
What I’m looking forward to: I’m starting to have those crazy pregnancy dreams you read about… It is
making me wonder who the baby will look like! I’m looking forward to feeling
the baby move because at least then, I will always know the baby is growing and
thriving.
What I miss: Right now, I am happy with how things are going. My doctor is great. My family is great. Kiley is great. This pregnancy has been a challenge for me to
really focus on myself as a person and reflect on how I can become the best
version of me I can be. My faith has
developed and I am learning everyday that I have more confidence and strength
than I ever saw in myself before. For
some reason, God has blessed us with this incredible gift of life. I will NOT mess this up.
(I have almost lost my abs already... See you in 40 weeks, bikini body!)
I'm laughing at your mac and cheese comment, the day I found out I was pregant I made Hunter buy me a ton of easy mac. It got me through my first trimester! (maybe it IS a boy ;) )
ReplyDeleteLol that's too funny!!! :) it's 9am and after reading this, I want Mac n cheese... Haha
